TLDR: Accelerate neighbor's baby animals
After some testing, it seems that you can Accelerate your own Animal Babies. To do this, you have to go to a neighbor's zoo, and help Accelerate their babies, with some caveats. Neighbor Animal Babies look like the picture below. They have the tag "Help Out!

A few things to note if you want the timer on your own babies to go down.
Firstly, the timer is the same as when neighbors accelerate your own babies, it's 8 hours per click.
Secondly, you can accelerate the same babies multiple times (you would want to for the reason explained later). To accelerate the same baby, all you have to do it leave the zoo, and come back, the baby will be available for acceleration.

Thirdly, you would have to use up all your hearts in that neighbor's zoo.

Fourthly, (I'm not too sure about this point), if you want the change to happen as soon as possible, I think that you need the server to update. And in order for the server to update, you should do something else, like go back home, or visit another zoo. After that, you will need to force quit the game. In about 10 seconds, you can restart and the game will parse information from the server, and your updates Animal Baby Timer will have down down. Instructions to Force Quit Dream Zoo on Zynga's Forum
To summarize, if you want to actively accelerate your own babies and not wait for neighbors to accerlerate them for you, you will have to visit your neighbor's zoo and accelerate 4 (four) babies.
Also remember that in order for your zoo to show this change in timer, you will have to get the new information from the server. This is achieved by force quitting the game and restarting.
I've had the experience where I may have already visited a zoo and accelerated someone's baby, and then they accepted my neighbor invitation. I would then be able to go back into their zoo, but the system wouldn't allow me to accelerate the same baby again. I would tap on the "help out" and nothing would happen. I am an android user, so maybe this is something to do with the android version of the game. Strangely, I can accelerate someone's expansion multiple times.
ReplyDeleteIt seems that the Android version of the game has different quirks. You should send in a support email to Zynga.
DeleteAlso, for the expansions, another reader posted about this, however, he said that it won't add to your hearts tally when you go back to your own zoo.
