Dream Zoo, Experience Points

I'm very close to level 59 now and I'm watching how much Experience Points (XP) I'm receiving like a hawk. I want to level up FAST! But, I'm having a hard time leveling because the only way I'm getting XP right now, is through coin collection, as well as the occasional washing of animals.

I've got more coins and hearts than I can use and I'm willing to waste them on breeding new champion animals, but I need to find out which animals will net me the best XP gain per animal. I'd rather use my coins because as of now, it's the most useless currency to me.

I guess I'll update the Coin Collection Spreadsheet and add an XP gain column to track how much XP I get per Champion Family, and then use that to start building an XP farm. I hope that goes well and Zynga doesn't break anymore farming ideas.

  1. Hi Syd,
I sooo agree with you about Zynga only rewarding people who pay (not me). And it costs a lot not just a $2.99 game fee! I can't believe how they are trying to rip us off. Now that I am at level 56 my game has slowed tremendously. I can't even get into it as a friend from a new game I started on my iPad. I too am discouraged like you. I don't think I will be trying any new Zynga games after this one. It was a cute idea and fun in the lower levels. Too bad they are so greedy.

  2. I was wondering how you were able to level so fast, but it sounds like you are in the same boat as I am now. I have only ever received XP from coin collecting, washing my own animals (at 5XP per wash), and breeding. Never from washing, breeding, or feeding other farms as you were able to from your previous posts. It took me 5 days to go from 56 to 57. It has gone to a crawl and honestly, I am losing interest. If you don't have a library full of friends helping out then the upper levels can be a burden at times. Zynga is heavily leaning on facebook connections to progress your game play and I am not a huge fan of that.
I am not giving anymore money to Zynga for a game that has not been error free since day 1. I was dumb enough to buy cash right after I started and that was a mistake.
    Thanks for all your tips!

    1. Firstly, for the XP gain, I have a lot of the tropical animals for when I was using them as my money makers. These animals, as it turns out, also give a lot of XP each: a few hundred XP each. The XP scales up with the coin collection timer (I think).
So XP gain is just the frequency at which you can collect them, just like coins. What I am able to do is to open up the game and do about 3 mins of coin/XP collection. This bumps my XP rate per day. Also, since I don't care about coins at all, I don't have to move animals to and from bonus spaces, I just collect coins, and close the game. I prioritize the more 'expensive' animals. Gazelle is 4 xp, if I collect every 4 mins, I get 360 XP in 6 hours. Tree Kangeroo is 464 XP per 6 hours, and I have 3 tree kangeroos. Right now, I'm over 1/2 of the way to level 60 just doing this.
I'm also losing interest in the game. But when I'm away from the game, I always try to think of ways to beat Zynga at it's own game. So I look for ways around the game and share them with people.

If u have plenty of money and hearts go on sarfais at higher lvls, u gain some xp points plus the animals u gain u can trade in. And if u get rare or very rare u can get 400 and above for trading animals..I use this way alot when I want to reach new lvl but don't want to wait
